Corbridge is a lovely village west of Newcastle along the Hadrian’s Wall. I feel like it’s a bit overshadowed by Hexham. I was introduced to Hexham pretty soon after I arrived in the UK, but only found out about Corbridge in the last year or two. It’s a fair bit smaller than Hexham, but it has its own train station, a proper bridge across River tyne, a wonderful local cooking store, an independent book store with a busy event calendar online and at least one brilliant pub. It’s on the popular Coast to Coast cycle route. There are some nice walks around the village and along River Tyne. And better than every other villages and towns, it has its own impressive and grand Roman Town.
Here are some photos to help you decide if you’d like to pay a visit.

Great pics! and that’s exactly the kind of short trips I’d be looking for if I lived in UK and in the Newcastle area. I love the overall architecture, and love the look of the street where there’s the “Black Bull” sign.
